MSOA Lobby Day draws physician-lobbyists

Orthopaedic physicians lobbied on issues affecting physical therapy, restrictions on imaging, and insurance reform at MSOA's Annual Lobby Day in Jefferson City on February 27. Attendees received a good dose of political insight, candid partisanship, and legislative philosophy. At a private luncheon for members of the Missouri Senate, MSOA physicians used the opportunity to hold substantive discussion with several members of the Missouri Senate. MSOA physicians also met with key members of the Missouri House.

MSOA hosted its popular Mid-Missouri Football Social at the exciting Missouri v. Nebraska football game on October 6. MSOA members enjoyed an evening of great football and socializing with colleagues from around the state.

MSOA hosted the second Southwest Regional Meeting on April 5 at St. John's
in Springfield, Missouri. More than 27 doctors and Southwest Missouri
legislators attended the informative regional meeting. MSOA President Jason
Calhoun, M.D. presented an informative discussion on prophylactic
antibiotics and new bacteria from Iraq.
