"Getting through the Night: Urgent Management of Musculoskeletal Injuries presenting when I’m on call"

February 15-16, 2019
Bond Life Science Center, University of Missouri-Columbia

Columbia, Missouri

Bond Life Sciences Center

Please join us for the 50th Annual Meeting of the Missouri State Orthopaedic Association on Friday, February 15-Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. MSOA Program Chair Greg Della Rocca, M.D., has prepared a premier panel of experts designed to be a primer for on-call orthopaedic patient management. This one-day conference will feature several short lectures from an expert slate of orthopaedic surgeons to assist the community surgeon taking call in determining what historical and current orthopaedic cases need emergent care, can wait for delayed care, or should be transferred for a higher level of care. The program will assist the on-call orthopaedic surgeon in determining straightforward temporizing measures for injured patients prior to transfer. Topics include:

  • Hip fractures in elderly patients.
  • Femoral neck fractures in young patients.
  • Supracondylar humerus fractures in children.
  • Management of open fractures.
  • Urgent management of pelvic and acetabular fractures.
  • Hand and wrist trauma emergencies.
  • Knee dislocations.
  • Talus fractures and dislocations.
  • Management of diaphyseal long bone fractures.
  • And more…

In conjunction with the MSOA Annual Meeting, the Midwest Orthopaedic Expo is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest products and technology available to Orthopaedic surgeons and their practices. Registration for the MSOA Annual Meeting is now open. Mark your calendars, register today, and plan to attend the MSOA Annual Meeting and Midwest Orthopaedic Expo.
